Why The Motor Spares Collective?
The Motor Spares Collective, is a newly formed cooperative dedicated to empowering Independent mechanics across South Africa. Our mission is to address key challenges faced by independent mechanics, including speedy and reliable access to quality spares and parts, tooling for their workshops, opportunities for skills development, support with trade registration, and access to equipping them with skills to run their businesses more efficiently.
The aftermarket vehicle repair and maintenance service is expanding rapidly, with Independent mechanics, including those in townships, serving as key contributors to this growth.
Our objective is to unite independent mechanics, by providing them with the support needed to scale their businesses individually and through collective action while fostering deeper integration within the broader automotive value chain.
